76 New Construction Low Income Apartments: Applications Due Today
Nearly half of the units will be rented to residents who earn up to 80 percent of the Area Median Income. Construction is underway on Mission Paradise apartments in Hayward, California, a new low income apartment community being built by nonprofit housing developer EAH Housing. The 76 units will be available for one and two bedroom apartments and will have a roof-top deck, parking, a community room and garden, and fitness and computer rooms. Applicants must be 62 years of age or older, with incomes ranging from 30 to 80 percent of the Area Median Income for Alameda County. Twenty-five units are designated as project-based rental assistance units for seniors referred by the Housing Authority of Alamed County, 15 for seniors with severe mental illness experiencing homelessness. The City of Hayward contributed $6 million to the project.

HAYWARD, CA — Construction continues on Mission Paradise apartments, a new low income apartment community in Hayward that is being built by nonprofit housing developer EAH Housing. It will have 76 units, a roof-top deck, parking, a community room and garden, and fitness and computer rooms.
One and two bedroom apartments are available. All units will be finished with modern touches, will have energy efficient appliances, and most units will have balconies.
Applications for the low income apartments are due Tuesday.
Applicants must be 62 years of age or older.
Thirty-five out of the 76 units are open to applicants with incomes ranging from 30 to 80 percent of the Area Median Income for Alameda County.
Twenty-five units are designated as project-based rental assistance units for seniors referred by the Housing Authority of Alameda County.
Fifteen of the units are for seniors with severe mental illness experiencing homelessness—and who will be supported with on-site services tailored to their needs.
The Mission Paradise apartments are located at 28000 Mission Boulevard in Hayward. The City of Hayward contributed $6 million to the project.
