The fire broke out near the Altamont Pass, not far from the site of the Corral Fire. A 44-acre wildfire has been contained near the Altamont Pass in California, according to Cal Fire. The Greenville Fire broke out at 11 a.m. Saturday near Altamon Pass Road and North Greenville Road, not far from the 14,000 Corral Fire. By 12:26, Cal Fire reported that the fire had grown to 41 acres, but forward progress was stopped. The fire was 100% contained by 9:12 p.m., according to the Cal Fire website.
