Benicia Killer Under Investigation After Cellmate Found Dead In Prison: Officials
A 34-year-old inmate serving a life sentence for murder is under investigation following a death at a Central Valley prison. Derek Dunlap, 34, has been placed in restricted housing after his cellmate, Louis Jackson, 62, was found unresponsive at the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility in Corcoran, California. Jackson was discovered at 6:46 a.m. Saturday and called 911 while prison staff provided emergency aid. Paramedics pronounced him dead at 7:12 a.M.
