NOVI — The pretrial hearing for alleged ambulance hijacker Changlin Li was once again adjourned on Oct. 13 in Oakland County Circuit Court, this time at the request of the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office. The Oakland County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Andrea Ajlouni, asked for the adjournment to allow time for her to consider seeking a second opinion on Li's mental health at the time of his alleged crimes. Li, formerly of Novi, is charged with multiple felonies after he allegedly took an ambulance for a joyride with a patient and EMT in the back following a four-vehicle crash last October. The Center for Forensic Psychiatry (CFP) has recommended that Li be found not guilty by reason of insanity in both cases.
