Portions Of Iron Horse Trail To Close

Sections of the trail in San Ramon will close until July for repaving work, East Bay Regional Parks said. Portions of the Iron Horse Trail in San Ramon, California, are temporarily closed until July 31 due to repaving. The East Bay Regional Parks District announced that work will take place on Greenbrook Drive to Norris Canyon Road, a continuation of repairs made to the trail at Fostoria Way last year. The north side of the trail remains closed during construction of a pedestrian overcrossing, which is expected to be completed in 2025. The detour will be placed on the south side of this detour.

SAN RAMON, CA — Portions of the Iron Horse Trail are closed until July 31 due to repaving, the East Bay Regional Parks District announced.

• Greenbrook Drive to Norris Canyon Road: This work is a continuation of repairs made to the trail at Fostoria Way last year.

• Alcosta Boulevard to Montevideo Drive: This paving repairs developing long cracks and root damage throughout the San Ramon portion of the Iron Horse Trail corridor.

The north side of the trail adjacent to Bollinger Canyon Road remains closed during construction of the pedestrian overcrossing. A detour will soon be placed on the south side of the Iron Horse Trail. The overcrossing is expected to be finished at some point in 2025.
